In 2012, 18-year-old Reed Kessler was the youngest show jumping rider to ever participate in the Olympic Games. Thanks to her outstanding performances she made it into the American Team for London with her mare Cylana riding along not only the most experienced riders of her country but also her idols Beezie Madden and McLain Ward. Born in New York, Reed trained with Katie and Henry Prudent for some years before she moved to Germany where she trains with the Centaur Marcus Ehning. Her goal is not only to become a better rider but also to learn how to manage horses, stables and competitions. Together with Lucy Davis, Jessica Springsteen and Brianne Goutal she is part of this new generation of talented young American riders ready to follow the footsteps of their idols. En 2014 she won the Nations Cup of Hickstead with Cylana.
