Kent Farrington is known as one of the quickest riders of the circuit and is currently USA’s top world-ranked rider. Born in Chicago, he started riding at age 8 in a carriage stable. When he was 21 years old he won the Maxine Beard Award that is given to a rider having the potential to represent the United States in international competition. Motivated and talented, the young rider won his first Grand Prix three years later (Saugerties, New York). Member of Team USA, he has recently represented the United States at the 2014 World Equestrian Games winning the Bronze medal. In 2011 he was part of the gold winning team in the Pan Am Games and claimed victory twice in the US Open CSIO5*, the King George Cup, the Presidents Cup, Devon Grand Prix, Hampton Classic and various speed competitions. His horsemanship has been recognized in 2006 when he was rewarded Trainer of the Year, his mount Madison Horse of the Year and he also was the runner-up for Rider of the Year. In 2014 he obtained the bronze medal at WEG in Normandy.
