The upcoming Masters of Los Angeles, October 1-4, 2015, at the LA Convention Center will launch the new Season of the Longines Masters. Here is why we think it is not to be missed:

 

REASON #1 The Best of Show Jumping: the only 5* CSI Show Jumping competition on the West Coast, the Masters of Los Angeles attracts the best riders and horse in the world competing at the highest level of competition, with jumps at maximum height of 1.60 meters or 5 feet and 3 inches.

 

REASON #2 The Best Riders and Horses in the World: Reigning Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat from Switzerland; World number 1 Scott Brash from the UK; World number 2, Olympic multi-medalist and US leading rider Beezie Madden; World Cup Final winner Daniel Deusser from Germany, Silver World Champion medalists Kevin Staut and Patrice Delaveau from France will all be competing at the next Masters of Los Angeles. In total 20 of the World’s top 30 have confirmed their participation and will compete for a total prize money of 1 million dollars over 4 days of breathtaking sporting action.

 

REASON #3 PanAm Bronze winning Team USA will be there! You can cheer for McLain Ward, Georgina Bloomberg, Lauren Hough and Kent Farrington who won team Bronze at this summer PanAm Games in Toronto qualifying team US for a spot in the next Olympic Games in Rio 2016.

REASON # 5 Jumping for a good cause : Whether in Paris, Hong Kong or Los Angeles, EEM, founder and organizer of the Longines Masters, believes in the importance of charity engagement. Our iconic competition Pro-Am Style & Competition for Charity involves 10 teams, representing 10 charities and supported by 10 generous sponsors. The teams of two, a professional and an amateur rider, swap their formal riding gear for more far-fetched costumes, turning their sporting performance into a entertaining show, over a music theme of their choice. Equestrian celebrities such as Jessica Springsteen, Charlotte Casiraghi, Jennifer Gates, French actor Guillaume Canet, Hannah Selleck and Kaley Cuoco have put on the greatest show for this unique and fun class. REASON #8 Chasing the Masters Grand Slam on Three Continents : Inspired by tennis, the Longines Masters of Los Angeles, Paris and Hong Kong offer to the riders a unique sporting challenge : the winner of the three Longines Grands Prix wins a super bonus of one million euros. Two consecutive wins offer a reward of 500 000 euros and two Grands Prix victory in the same year a 250 000 euros bonus.  Equestrian legend John Whitaker from the UK was the winner of the Longines Grand Prix of Hong Kong last February. He will be in Los Angeles with his gorgeous stallion Argento trying to conquer another leg of the Masters Grand Slam. Can he do it ?  The stakes will be high on Sunday October 4 on the main competition ring!

 

REASON #9 It is FUN ! The Longines Masters of Los Angeles, unlike any other sporting event, has someting to offer for everyone.  For families, groups of friend, or even a romantic evening out, there is also plenty of action off the main competition ring. During the day, many activities will take place in the Prestige Village including unique dressage demonstations by US dressage superstar Steffen Peters, signature sessions with the world best riders etc…In the Lounge, live music and DJ set will take place every evening whilst visitors enjoy the wineing and dining.  It is not because we’re talking serious Show jumping competition that you are not there to have fun !

 

REASON #10 Downtown Los Angeles : the sports and entertainment mecca.  For four days, the Los Angeles Convention Center will be transformed into the most beautiful Show grounds you have ever seen.
