George Bittar was a happy and proud dad today. His 12 years old daughter, Alyce, was the winner of the EuroAsia Trophy. A 1.20m Invitational class, dominated so far by Hillary McNerney who won the two first competitions, Thursday and Friday. But today, Hillary had to settle with a second rank; Alyce was the quickest in the jump-off on a horse called Beirut B, named by her father’s Lebanese roots. Today, George runs a professional stable in Hollywood and obviously he’s a very good trainer. Alyce gathers victories on 1.20m courses in California and the success of tonight was not a big surprise: “She’s a winner. She’s a future star”, repeated an enthusiastic George. “She likes to compete, she loves to be here. You’ll see, she’ll be a great champion. It’s that what she wants. She’s a little Michael Whitaker!”
