Masters’ riders (5*)

Henrik von Eckermann grew up near Stockholm, Sweden.
His mother, a keen equestrian herself, introduced him to horses and at age 14 he started to train his pony with the full support of his parents.

He got a taste for international competition at a young age and got his first breakthrough when he went to train with Swedish Olympic rider Peder Fredricson. During that time he competed in many junior and young rider events. He was a member of the Swedish young riders team at the European Championships where he won a team silver medal.

Henrik finished commercial college and decided to become a professional rider. Not long after that came the opportunity of a lifetime to work with the Ludger Beerbaum stables in Riesenbeck. He has been an integral part of that team since 2002.

Many liken Henrik’s personal and riding style to that of his legendary boss.

Henrik was a team bronze medalist at the 2013 European Championships.
