When he first started out, the young Denis Lynch seemed destined for a career as a steeplechase jockey.
As he grew older, his increased height and weight forced him to rethink that option.
Therefore he turned to show jumping. He gained experience in Germany, alongside Peter and Helena Weinberg.
In 1997, he set up a base in Münster, at the Kemper family stables. Always present in the Top 30 riders in the world since 2008, the Irish rider has built up an astonishing record of achievement.
With his faithful partner Lantinus, Denis Lynch has won prestigious trophies including the Grand Prix in Doha, in La Baule and in Rome in 2008, the Aix-la-Chapelle Grand Prix in 2009, and in 2010 he finished 2nd in the Rolex IJRC Top 10.
His other main horse, All Inclusive, has carried him to other achievements including a victory at the Leipzig Grand Prix in 2011 and a 2nd place finish at the Rio Grand Prix in 2010.
With Night Train, Denis Lynch won the prestigious Derby of La Baule in 2012. Often selected for the Irish team, Denis Lynch is a regular at the Nations Cup.
