Epaillard, who is competing at his first Longines Hong Kong Masters, is so far having a great show winning the opening class on opening night and a finishing third in the Longines Speed Challenge on Mister Davier. "The show started very well and I hope I still have energy left for the rest of the show,” Epaillard said.
It is Epaillard's first visit to Hong Kong and he is impressed by the experience. “It’s good to be here for the sport because it is such a nice show.”
Epaillard’s major sponsor is Laiterie De Montaigu and the company saw the chance to come to Hong Kong as a prime opportunity to expose their brand to China.
“We have good clients in China so it is very positive for my sponsor Laiterie De Montaigu to be here." "The show is very nice, everything is perfect for the riders and the public. It is a very good feeling to ride here and the horses feel this."
He is one of eight French riders competing at this year’s edition of the Longines Hong Kong Masters."I don’t know why it is we have such good success here but one thing I do know is that riders enjoy the atmosphere when it is positive like this so maybe that is what it is.”
