Not born in a rider's family, at 10 Jérôme Guery began riding a pony. During 8 years, he will be supported by his parents, trained by his father-in-law, Jean-Pierre Thonet and regularly followed by Nelson Pessoa. In 1998, then 18-year-old, he won the belgian championship for Juniors. The next year, he fends for himself and is committed to the « Hayettes stables » where he will train numerous young horses among which Mozart des Hayettes and Hugo Gesmeray. Meeting his future wife was the turning point of his rider and man's life. The need for independance is then really strong, with a great number of promising young horses and faithful clients, they end up creating in 2006 the Guery Stables. Above all, it's the young horses that impassion the rider who dedicates himself to their training. In 2012, Jérôme Guéry appeared under the spotlight of the international shows by becoming the Belgian Champion, on his talented Tic Tac du Seigneur. Three years later, he will win against the best world riders during the Knokke CSI5*, riding Papillon Z, a victory that still promises great years for the Belgian rider.
