Ben Maher starts riding at 8. After his studies, his career leads off alongside Liz Edgar, the British rider, before leaving for Switzerland to work for Beat Mändli for two years. In 2005, only aged 22, he won the prestigious Derby of Hickstead, being the first one back at the times to win this championship. In 2008, he is on the selection for the Olympic Games in Beijing, where he ends up fifth with his team, Rolette under his saddle. The consecration arrives in London during the Olympics: Ben Maher becomes the team Olympic Champion with Tripple X III. In 2013, he won the team gold medal and the silver individual one during the European Championship.
