The current Olympic Champion needs no introduction; Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat is one of the most successful show jumpers in the world, and is currently in the top 20 of the Longines FEI Jumping Rankings. His father Phillipe Guerdat trained Steve, when he began riding at the age of nine in his hometown of Bassecourt, Switzerland. Since then, he has claimed many titles such as Olympic team Bronze medalist in 2008, team gold medalist at the 2009 European Championships as well as two times second at the 2012 and 2013 World Cup Finals that all have ratcheted him into the upper echelons of show jumping. His father still looks on with pride, and when Steve came out of the ring as winner of the Individual Olympic Gold Medal at London in 2012, Phillipe was the first to embrace his son in congratulations. In 2014 he just won the CSI5* of Helsinki with his fantastic Nino des Buissonnets
